Our members’ voices matter and our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a great opportunity for them to be heard. This year’s AGM took place on Tuesday 11th July and we’ll provide you with an update on the outcome of the meeting on this webpage soon.

Putting our members first is at the very heart of our values here at Shepherds Friendly. We pride ourselves on doing the right thing and trying to make a positive difference to members through the products and service we provide. And we know that a great way to make sure this happens is to listen to our members. That’s why every member is given the chance to have a say in how we’re run by voting in our AGM.

What is the AGM?

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the meeting of members of an organisation. At our AGM, there is usually an introduction from the Board Chair, followed by a summary of the previous year and then the resolutions and votes are discussed. There is also time dedicated to answering questions from our members.

When is the AGM?

Our AGM took place on Tuesday 11th July at 4.30pm at our Head Office in Cheadle.

Can I attend the AGM?

Our AGM was hosted both online through Microsoft Teams and at our Head Office where members attended in person.

As part of this year’s AGM, members were able to join us for coffee and cake and a special guest talk on our sustainability efforts with ClimatePartner.

How to Vote?

For the convenience of our members, voting took place online again this year. Please note that voting for the 2023 AGM is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who voted. If you missed your chance to vote, we will be in touch again next year with details of how you can vote in the 2024 AGM.
